This heat has been extremely hard on us, the farmers, and the plants alike. This kind of heat causes all sorts of havoc this early in the season. The cool loving spring plants, like lettuce, are struggling, while the heat loving plants are growing at hyper speed. It won't be long before we are biting into the first crunchy cucumber of the year and the first planting of broccoli should be ready by the end of the week!
The heat has us feeling like it's mid August around here, but don't be fooled. Gardening season is just beginning and it's the perfect time to get your vegetable plants in and start potting up some planters. We still have an amazing selection of vegetable, herb, and flower plants to order along side some fresh veggies.
Farm Fresh Eggs are also available for ordering with pick up on Wednesday, 11-2pm.
