The countdown to spring lettuce has commenced!
We were able to start planting the first high tunnel of the season on Friday. We tucked lots and lots of baby lettuces into the ground. Soon to follow will be kohlrabi, kale, chard, and broccoli. Getting the first plants in and kicking off the season always feels so good!
The germination house is filling up fast! Lots of flowers, herbs, and tomatoes are ready to be potted up into larger cells. That will be the focus for this week as well as continuing to plant the rest of high tunnel one. Then we will quickly shift to start prepping tunnel two, which will house tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and onions.
We are looking forward to the warm up this week. Bring on mud season!
