Welcome Spring

It's officially spring! Even though the temps are still chilly, the longer days have the plants bursting with growth (and us bursting with energy!). Each day I look, I swear the seedlings have doubled in size.

The tables are filling fast and getting greener every day!

A picture of Tunnel #1 prepped and patiently waiting for plants. We direct seeded cold hardy crops like spinach & radishes 2 weeks ago and they are thriving!

We are making good progress on Tunnel #1 and have been busy transplanting. Sugar Snap peas, broccoli, & kohlrabi are in the ground. Today the lettuce and herbs will go in, followed by kale and chard.

Wish we could share the smell! The basil is divine. Every day we are seeding, transplanting, and potting up. April sends us into overdrive, but the progress feels great and has us excited for that first harvest!

The chicks are growing as fast as the plants! They've moved into a larger space and are enjoying their wings. The older hens have been moving around too, and with the transitions, egg production is down for a bit. Keep an eye out Monday mornings if we have eggs available week to week.
