Beautiful Lake Superior ice in Grand Marais

Over the past two weeks, our family took the last couple trips away from home until next fall. For the next 8 + months, we will be tied very closely to the farm tending to all of our precious plants, vegetables, fruits, and flowers!

We flew down to Florida to stay with family and enjoy some beautiful 70 degree beach/pool days! The sunshine and warmth really lifted our winter blues spirits.

Then I went away over the weekend with some girlfriends for one final rest and recharge before the season really gets rolling. We were blessed with 40 degree weather and more sunshine. I don't think I've ever seen Lake Superior so calm! Between hikes, puzzles, and good conversation, I snuck in some garden mapping (with the best view!) and plant tag prep. I'm feeling grateful for good friends, wonderful family, and slower days that have helped me relax and prepare for the demanding schedule ahead.

This week's focus now turns to greenhouse prep and lots of deep cleaning to set us up for a successful growing season!
