Egg pick up falls on the winter solstice this year. A most important day.
It marks the returning of the light.
Soon, a new year and a new growing season.
The solstice means only 6 weeks until we start planting again. It's hard to believe.
It may feel like winter has just begun, but for us, spring is not too far away!
The next month brings so much planning. Charting planting schedules. Ordering supplies. Washing. Cleaning. Organizing.
Most importantly...it brings dreams of another (hopefully!) successful growing season ahead.
